LADY IMPRESS

Sakeenah Hasan also known as Lady Impress was born in Columbia South Carolina on October 30. 1982. Her father was a musician and music lover which exposed her to different genres of music at an early age. By the age of 10, Impress was no stranger to being in the studio, doing live performances, and playing different instruments.

Her love for music began to take a strong attraction for reggae music and the Caribbean lifestyle and she soon became a fan of artist such as: Bob Marley, Burning Spear, Israel Vibrations, Lady Saw, and many other reggae artists.

She soon transformed from not only being a fan, but to become a headline vocalist.
In 2006 Impress moved to Atlanta Georgia to promote her music and become more involved within the music industry as a song writer. This experience improved Impress’ writing abilities and increased her knowledge in producing music of different genres.

Impress still did not give up on her solo career as a reggae artist. For 8 years Impress remained focus and promoted her music by opening for many artists such as: Sizzla, Morgan Heritage, Capelton, Midnight Reggae Band, Elephant Man, Wayne Wonder and many other top reggae artists throughout the years.

Presently Lady Impress is traveling throughout the U.S and the Caribbean islands promoting her music and her first single, “Private Dancer”. She has appeared on Jamaica’s top television stations such as TVJ, and Hype TV showcasing her unique style and voice that has set her apart and attracts fans worldwide. DJ Kenny, one of Jamaica’s top Dj’s did a fantastic mix of Lady Impress newest music called, The Sweet Rebel Mixtape that showcases Impress’s versatility and range. It also shows why she is definitely and artist to look out for and why she is being called the “New Sound of Reggae”.
